RESORT, DIVE SPOT, BAR & RESTAURANT
Our history
Vienna Beach Resort, the inaugural hotel in Amed, was constructed in 1986 and became operational a year later. During that time, the village was characterized by tranquility, immersed in traditional life where locals engaged in farming and fishing using traditional boats.
The Austrian couple who owned the land partnered with locals to establish a small business, initially as a homestay. They began by constructing four guesthouses with traditional grass roofs and bamboo furniture, reflecting the local style.
As word spread about the serene atmosphere and stunning underwater scenery, tourists flocked to the guesthouses. Consequently, plans were made to expand with an additional six rooms to accommodate the growing demand, as the existing rooms often reached full occupancy. Situated right in front of the hotel is a prime snorkeling spot and ideal diving location.
In 2001, the property was sold to a Balinese partner as the Austrian couple opted to retire from the business. In February 2019, the property underwent renovations under the ownership of the Adi Shop family, including upgrades to rooms, kitchen facilities, the restaurant, and the addition of a swimming pool. The interior of the rooms was refurbished to a high standard, offering three twin bed rooms and seven double bed rooms.
The hotel also provides services such as transportation and tours around Bali. And his own Diving center where you can experience your first scuba diving (with training in swimming pool if needed) and pass your PADI Certifications (Open Water, Dive Master, Rescue Master, and lot of other courses).
“We were very well received. Our stay was perfectly taken care of and we were able to enjoy the sea and the mountains thanks to their guides. Real professionals!”
